Who doesn’t like donuts or biscuits? If those types of people exist, I do not want to know them . But, as you can guess, I am a massive fan of creating air fryer donuts out of canned biscuits, and I think you will become a massive fan, too, once you try this cinnamon sugar donut recipe.
As a matter of fact, this air fryer donut recipe will move to the top of your air fryer recipes, mark my words. These biscuit cinnamon sugar donuts are flaky with hints of butter and lightly sweet. For this reason, every bite will make you forget you are eating a donut made in the air fryer.
It should be noted that these air fryer donuts only take about 5 minutes to cook, then minutes to toss in melted butter, then in a sugar-cinnamon combination.
Now, the glorious aspect of this air fryer donut recipe is that it take no time for the biscuits to air fry, and you only need a few ingredients:
And, of course, your air fryer. Most importantly, don’t over bake the donuts in the air fryer and check them often because the biscuits cook extremely fast. Please know I am sharing this from my own experience. With my first batch of donuts, I definitely burnt the biscuits because I did not check on them through the process. Dip the the air fryer donuts in the melted butter, then give them a twist and turn in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Even though baking the donut biscuits in my air fryer takes six minutes, the time may differ with depending on the air fryer brand. With that being said, you may also have to play around with the temperature settings on your air fryer.
My air fryer’s default temperature is 395 degrees. But working with biscuits, I always decrease the temperature to 350 to ensure they do not brown too much before they are actually done. Another tip is that when the donuts are done, you should see the layers in the biscuits.
If you actually have biscuits donuts leftover in your house, then most definitely store the donuts in an air-tight container. You can put the donuts on the counter or refrigerator and then pop them back in the air fryer for a minute or two to get that warm donut experience.
Last but not least, be sure you share this recipe with friends and family. Even go ahead and pin it on Pinterest.
